Sadness, pain, and discomfort are all inevitable and even necessary parts of life. However, you can’t allow yourself to live in them forever. At times, we’re simply forced to take our happiness into our own hands and do what we need to feel okay. Whether you’re ready to get over a difficult time, or you’re doing fine but just want to feel excited about life again, this post is for you. The ideas below are things I believe will help you be intentional about your happiness.

  • Make a list of goals

  • Hang up your favorite pictures on the wall
  • Say a prayer of thanks
  • Organize your space
  • Eat some fruit
  • Write a nice letter
  • Admire the sky
  • Play with a pet
  • Think of things you can do to make other people happy
